Well first of all, the Homer Public Library originated back in the 1940’s in an old school building. However since it started to grow in popularity, it has since moved to its now permanent location in a much bigger building.

And that is, back in 1987 the library started an initiative where it accepts, publishes, displays, and makes available manuscripts from the community. This was essentially called the “Top Drawer Collection” and is a great thing for you to check out and explore.
